Shuttle Service to/from Memphis Airport:

The Division of Outreach’s Events & Services Office provides shuttle service from/to the Memphis International Airport (MEM). This service is provided on a first-come/first-serve basis, and this is not a 24-hour service. Limited shuttles will be available and reservations must be made before February 20, 2023 (be sure to read the guidelines regarding this service).

Shuttle requests should be made at least six (6) business days prior to the date of travel in order to ensure a shuttle is available. It is recommended that you schedule a shuttle as soon as your flight is booked to ensure we have time to process and accommodate your request.

Cost for a shuttle is $95 one-way per person and $145 round-trip per person. Note: There may be a short wait time at the airport in order to provide service to other travelers who may be arriving after you.

By Rail:

Amtrak, Memphis, Tennessee

Driving Directions:

Directions from Memphis to Oxford (via I-55 South)
Follow I-55 south for 55 miles until you reach Batesville, Miss. (exit 243). Take Highway 6 east for 26 miles to Oxford.

Directions from Memphis to Oxford (via Hwy 78E/I-22)
Follow US-78 east for 52 miles until you reach Holly Springs, Miss. Take Highway 7 south for 31 miles to Oxford. Once in Oxford, take the fourth exit onto Highway 6 and proceed west.

Directions from Tupelo to Oxford
Follow Highway 78 west for 16 miles until you reach Sherman, Miss. (exit 76). Take Highway 9 south for 13 miles, and then turn right on Highway 6 west and travel 22 miles to Oxford.

Directions from Jackson, Miss., to Oxford
Follow I-55 north for 150 miles until you reach Batesville, Miss. (exit 243). Take Highway 6 east for 26 miles to Oxford.

Overnight Lodging:

A limited number of rooms have been blocked at the Inn at Ole Miss located on the campus of the University of Mississippi. In order to make reservations, you may call 1-888-486-7666 and reference the “Southeastern Conference on Linguistics Group”.

NOTE:  If the conference hotel venue is sold out, more lodging options are available in the Oxford area.

Parking on Campus:

If you are a guest at the Inn at Ole Miss, you will be given a parking pass for your vehicle by the front desk staff.  The pass will be valid for the length of your stay.  

If you are not a guest at the Inn at Ole Miss, you will receive a parking pass at registration check-in on March 9, 2023 and it will be valid for the length of the conference.
