Welcome to Communiversity!

Communiversity classes are non-credit classes offered by the Division of Outreach that will have you swirling around a dance floor, searching for your ancestors, or traveling solo and loving it and that’s just the beginning. Communiversity programs are open to anyone in the community, including retirees, Ole Miss students, and family members of all ages. Communiversity also partners with the Academic Traveler to offer overnight and day trips to local areas of interest such as the Mississippi Delta, Birmingham, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, etc.

Communiversity Contact

If the fee is $29 or less seniors must pay the full course fee. The fee for seniors is subject to the Division's refund policy. Note that the discount must be requested at the time of registration and that there is only one applicable discount per course.

* Senior discounts do not apply to any fee paid directly to the instructor, such as a supplies fee.

Who May Enroll

Communiversity classes are designed for people of all ages, unless otherwise indicated. These classes do not require admission to the University. About Registration

The University of Mississippi is open year-round (excluding University-observed holidays). Several options for registration are available: online, fax, phone, mail-in and walk-in. Our regular hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Registration opens once the class is scheduled on the calendar. We usually try and close each class one week prior to the first day of each class. Some programs have limited enrollment and are filled on a first-come basis. You must register by the deadline, and, by enrolling early, you ensure your place in the class of your choice. Payment must be made in full before the first day of class unless other arrangements have been made.

*The deadline for registering for a class is one week prior to the start of each class
