Beginner Knitting:

Making Chausson Slippers

Learn and practice the basics of knitting while making a pair of cozy slipper socks.

  • Pattern Reading

We will also discuss fiber characteristics and care, where to find patterns and resources, and project planning and troubleshooting.

Ashley Morgan has almost 20 years of experience knitting and helping others learn!

Provided Supplies

Pattern, Caron "Macchiato Cakes" yarn (see photo), knitting needles, project bag, and tapestry needle provided or bring your own! Detailed supply list will be provided at sign-up.

Optional Supplies

  • US 10/6 mm 10-inch straight knitting needles OR
  • US 10/6 mm Circular needle between 16 and 36 inches
  • About 400 yards of a bulky weight yarn (No. 5)
  • Yarn/tapestry needle
  • Tape measure
  • Pencil or pen
