Instructor Information:

I am Mrs. Tabitha Dillard, and I will be your online instructor for this course. In addition, I teach high school English at Ingomar Attendance Center in New Albany, MS, where I have been for 8 years. I have a total of 12 years teaching experience.

I have a Master of Education Degree in English from the University of Mississippi. I have been happily married for 17 years and have two children, Lindsey and Josh.

Course Description:

Tenth Grade Language Arts is designed to incorporate grammar, reading, writing, listening, and viewing into the study of literature and language usage. Areas to be emphasized are basic research, skills in critical thinking, oral and written communication, grammar and mechanics through various writing experiences and reading various literary forms and styles. Students' response should show progression from concrete to abstract thinking. This curriculum is designed to promote an appreciation of language and literature.

Recommended Materials:

Any type of dictionary. You will need to look up words you do not know.
