Extend learning about the legacy of integration off campus with Study USA

In coordination with commemoration of the 60th anniversary of integration at the University of Mississippi, Study USA is seeking proposals for academic travel courses that help students understand the impact of that event in geographic areas far outside the bounds of our campus. Study USA classes are short-term academic courses that combine domestic travel with the leadership of University of Mississippi faculty.

All proposals must connect with the themes of the anniversary – knowledge, courage, opportunity, and perseverance. Proposals from any academic discipline are welcome and interdisciplinary classes are strongly encouraged. Whatever your area of interest, we can help you plan a program that will excite and inspire your students while providing you the opportunity to build your network and expand your research.

We are currently seeking proposals for courses taking place during May or August Intersession, any Summer term, or during Spring term with travel during Spring Break.

Course proposals are due no later than December 9. For more information, contact Kevin Gates at 915-2746 or studyusa@olemiss.edu.
