CLEP

CLEP is a College Board program that allows students to demonstrate their mastery of college-level material in introductory subjects and earn college credit. Through CLEP exams students can accumulate credit toward a degree and earn exemption from introductory courses.

The CLEP exam fee is $90.00 per test plus a separate administrative fee of $30.00 per test. Students must register for each CLEP test online at the College Board website.

In addition, students must pay the Distance Education Testing Lab administrative fee.

ALEKS

The ALEKS Math Assessment ensures students' readiness for certain math, statistics, and chemistry courses at the University of Mississippi. Students must apply for assessment eligibility.

Once approved for testing, students can take the assessment anytime at home with a lockdown browser or on campus by making an appointment at the Linda Chitwood Testing Center.

Accuplacer

The Accuplacer is an untimed test of math, reading, and writing skills required to help determine admission status into an institution of higher learning. Eligible students will receive instructions from a Mississippi four-year institution of higher learning and may then register for a testing date. Only students deemed eligible are allowed to test. There is no cost for the exam.
Online registration must be made by the Wednesday prior to the test date.

Where can I leave my personal items during the test?

Depending on the test takers exam, a locker may be provided to you. CLEP, Accuplacer, and ALEKS will have the option to utilize a UM Testing Center secure locker. ACT, SAT, and LSAT testers will keep their belongings with them throughout the duration of the exam.

Is a parking pass required?

Depending on your exam type and the time of your exam, parking passes may be available to you. UM students/staff/faculty cannot be provided temporary parking passes.
