Concentration Areas: 
Two areas of concentration are required. Both concentrations require a minimum of 18 hours. Courses taken in the core and general education areas count towards concentrations. Upon completion of both concentrations, the following certifications are available:

English (Grades 7-12)

Science (Grades 7-8)
Math (Grades 7-8)

Minimum test scores are required on one of the following: Praxis CORE (Reading: 156, Writing: 162, Math: 150) or ACT (21 Overall Composite)

Education Majors must have a 2.75 or higher cumulative GPA on the Education Core Curriculum and a 2.5 overall GPA. Contact a UM advisor for details & GPA calculation.

Elementary Education majors may apply 62 community college credit hours to the bachelor's degree.
