  • Spend two days getting an introduction to features and lifestyle writing and photography.
  • Travel to location close to them to write and photograph a variety of feature stories to be published on a website.
  • Be exposed to new places and experiences, in order to gain confidence in their reporting, while learning to be self-reliant and independent in a new space.
  • Explore their hometowns or summer locales to develop their own ideas for stories.
  • Learn to handle deadlines associated with media by developing and producing stories while traveling for the course.

This course is open to all majors. Students who might be interested include Journalism and IMC majors, Liberal Arts students, and Computer Science students.

Prerequisites: None

This is a virtual course; no travel is planned at this time. Students will need a reliable internet connection, access to a laptop, web camera, and microphone to participate in the course.
