Dates: Students will travel to Santa Fe, New Mexico, for arrival on Sunday, July 30, 2023, and depart on Sunday, August 13, 2023.

Location: Students will spend two weeks in and around Santa Fe. Shared accommodations at a local hotel will be provided.

This program is for geology and geological engineering majors. Students must have successfully completed GE 301, GEOL 303, GEOL 305, and ENGR 340.

Program cost is $1,950 plus tuition. Included in the cost are housing, group ground transportation in Santa Fe, all breakfasts and lunches, selected course materials, tours, and admission fees. Excluded from the cost are tuition, travel expenses to/from New Mexico, most evening meals, and personal spending money.

Students will make their own travel arrangements to and from Santa Fe. Students can fly into either Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) or Santa Fe Municipal Airport (SAF). From Albuquerque, students must make arrangements for travel to Santa Fe, either by private vehicle or via Airport Shuttle. Group ground transportation in Santa Fe will be provided.

Outreach Study USA Scholarship
The Outreach Study USA Scholarship supports student participation in Study USA courses. Scholarship awards range from $500 to $750 and are designed to help offset the additional expenses associated with academic travel.

Carolyn Ellis Staton Study USA Scholarship
The Carolyn Ellis Staton Study USA Scholarship was established to increase access to unique experiential learning programs. These scholarships will help to make engaging educational travel opportunities more accessible to students with financial need. Scholarship awards range from $250 to $750 and are designed to help offset the additional expenses associated with academic travel.
