UM Tupelo Teachers of Tomorrow attended the Mississippi Association of Educators January Power Week at State Capitol
UM Tupelo Teachers of Tomorrow attended the Mississippi Association of Educators January Power Week at the State Capitol in Jackson, MS. Attendees had the opportunity to represent educators in Mississippi by speaking with senators and representatives from all over Mississippi. Topics discussed included fully funding MAEP, securing statewide Pre- K and Kindergarten, and increasing salaries of teacher assistants to reflect their importance to public education.
Members also had the opportunity to tour the beautiful State of Mississippi Supreme Court Chambers and they meet Chief Justice Kitchens. TOTs members said they are so thankful for the Mississippi Association of Educators and their continued support!
