Location:

In addition to time on The University of Mississippi campus, students will spend six nights in the Baltimore\Washington, DC area. Accommodations will be provided at Baltimore and DC area hotels.

Who should go?

This program is for chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, biology, and pharmacy majors, and for any other student interested in learning about the workings of biomedical science in the context of private and government agencies. Prerequisites for CHEM 251 are CHEM 105 and CHEM 115. Prerequisites for CHEM 351 are CHEM 222 and CHEM 226.

Dates:

An orientation session will be held in Oxford prior to departure. Students will spend six nights in the Baltimore/Washington, DC area from May 11-17. Students will then return to the Oxford's campus to discuss proposals and submit the final lab report.

Travel:

Students will make their own air travel arrangements to and from the Baltimore/Washington, DC area. Group ground transportation and shared accommodations will be provided.

Costs:

Program cost is $995 plus tuition. Included in the cost are housing, a group dinner, group ground transportation, museum admissions, and tours. Excluded from the cost are the Study USA application fee, tuition, meals, airfare, airport transfers, and personal spending money
