Admission for SCHS is done on a rolling basis
Students wishing to attend the Summer College for High School Students at the University of Mississippi must meet or exceed the following admissions criteria:
Option 1: have 14 CPC high school credits* (by the end of the current school year) and a minimum 3.0 GPA
Option 2: have 10 CPC high school credit*, at least a 25 ACT or 1130 SAT score, and a minimum 3.5 GPA

Once admitted, there will be additional paperwork to secure a room in the residence hall, satisfy University health regulations, etc. This paperwork will be mailed to you along with your notice of acceptance. The first round of acceptances is usually made at the end of February. Students will continue to be accepted on a first-come basis as long as there is space available. Each Program/Institute has a pre-set enrollment limit.

When the application review process is completed, the Summer College Office will notify students of acceptance, along with instructions for completing the enrollment process. Admission is made on a rolling basis, with the first round of acceptances usually made in late February. Qualified students will continue to be accepted on a first-come basis as long as there is space available. Each program is limited in enrollment except the Liberal Arts program, which has no limit, but individual courses may fill up.
*The University of Mississippi counts high school credits that are part of the College Preparatory Curriculum (CPC). Most academic courses (including all core classes) fit this description. Examples of credits that are not counted include credit for sports and certain vocational courses.
