Admissions for College Credit programs
New Student Eligibility
For college credit programs
At minimum, prospective students must meet the early admission requirements of the University of Mississippi:
- Meet one of these two admissions options:
- OPTION 1
- Be classified as a junior or senior AND
- Have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Submit a School Approval Form signed by principal and guidance counselor
- OPTION 2
- Have a minimum composite score of 30 on the ACT (or SAT equivalent) AND
- Have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Submit a School Approval Form signed by principal and guidance counselor
- OPTION 1
- Be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
New Student Application Process
For college credit programs
For United States Domestic Students
- First, complete the Eligibility and Interest Form.
Once our admissions team determines your preliminary eligibility (usually within 5 to 7 business days), you will receive an email to set up your Blackbaud My School App account and begin the application process.
- Complete the “All Programs” application and all action items in the admissions checklist, including the University of Mississippi Undergraduate Admissions application.
A copy of a current transcript and school approval will be required within the first 10 days of account creation to determine eligibility. Incomplete admissions checklist will not be considered for admission.
- Upon admission, select courses, and complete a pre-arrival checklist.
For International Students
- First, complete the Eligibility and Interest Form.

- Complete the “All Programs” application and all action items in the admissions checklist, including the University of Mississippi Undergraduate Admissions application.

- Upon admission, select courses, and complete a pre-arrival checklist. If admitted, student will receive an I-20 and an admission form to apply for an F1 student visa at your home country’s U.S. embassy.
Returning Student Eligibility
Returning students must continue to meet the early admission requirements of the University of Mississippi by:
- Maintaining a minimum 3.0 G.P.A.
- Acquiring permission from their school counselor and/or principal
- Remaining in good academic and disciplinary standing
Returning Student Application Process
Returning students that have been admitted to the University of Mississippi and have previously attended a credit program have an abbreviated application process. Returning students do not have to complete the UM Undergraduate Admissions Application or pay the admissions fee again.
- First, complete the Eligibility and Interest Form.
Once our admissions team has reviewed your request (5 to 7 business days), you will receive an email to setup your Blackbaud My School App account and start the application process.
- Then, mail the following official documentation and application materials to the Office of Pre-College Programs:
- Current official high school transcript
- All ACT or SAT scores to date
- Course Approval Form
- Additional materials as required for selected program(s)
