Oxford String Project (OSP) aims to build excellent string players for students in 3rd through 6th grades. String classes and rehearsals are designed to teach strings in an enjoyable, active and stimulating environment under the guidance of Dr. Armee Hong. Students can sign up for either violin, viola, cello, or bass.
The orchestra rehearsals will take place on Wednesdays from 4:00–5:00 p.m. in the Choir Room and various classrooms of the UM Music Building.
In addition to string classes and rehearsals, OSP students receive basic musicianship skills to facilitate their ability to read, write, sing, and harmonize. The OSP concert will highlight players’ beautiful tone, musical, and technical abilities.
