Make a Faux Cathedral Window Quilt

Expand your quilting knowledge by learning an easy quilt-as-you-go technique. Experienced quilter Carol Alderman will guide you through the making of a Faux Cathedral Window lap quilt,  composed of circles. Some experience using a sewing machine is helpful to get the most out of this class.

Register

Provided Supplies: Written instructions, fabric suggestions, and paper/pencils for designing your quilt will be provided at the first meeting. For subsequent meetings 2-3 rotary cutting mats, one iron, and an ironing board will be provided for everyone to use.

Required Supplies

  • Sewing Machine with all accessories (foot pedal, power cord, etc.)
  • Coordinating thread and bobbins
  • Rotary cutter 
  • Regular sized scissors
  • Small sharp pointed scissors
  • Pins
  • Seam ripper
  • Fabric making tool (Frixion pen, water soluble marker, chalk pen)
  • Chopstick or similar (for turning your circles) 
  • Circle template in the size you have chosen - this can be as simple as a round flat plate from your kitchen
  • Any THIN good quality 80/20 or 100% cotton batting
  • Fabric
