Students will:

  • Learn about a variety of institutions of higher education outside of a textbook
  • Visits to Jackson State University, Tougaloo College, Alcorn State University, Hinds Community College, Rust College, Rhodes College, and the University of Memphis
  • Develop relationships and increase networking opportunities with colleagues at other institutions

Location:

Students will explore the ends and outs of higher education institutions across the state of Mississippi and Tennessee. They will also spend a class and lecture time on the University of Mississippi campus.

Who should go?

This program is for students who are enrolled in the University of Mississippi's Higher Education Graduate Program.

Dates:

The course will take place on the University of Mississippi campus January-April 2015 and at various locations February-April 2015.

Travel:

Students will travel to and from locations via group ground transportation from the University of Mississippi Oxford campus.

Costs:

Program cost is $350 plus tuition. Included in the cost are housing for overnight trips, two group dinners, tours, and group ground transportation. Study USA application fee, meals other than the group dinners, and personal spending money are excluded from the course fee.
