Online MBA and Education degrees for professionals rank among top in the nation.

OXFORD, Miss. – University of Mississippi online programs are catching the attention of professionals looking to complete their advanced degrees. U.S. World News & Report recently ranked the school’s online Master’s of Business Administration and online School of Education graduate programs among some of the best in the country.
The Master’s of Business Administration’s online professional cohort was ranked in the Top 16 for 2015-16. The 36-hour online program, designed for working professionals, is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
“We are very happy with the MBA ranking,” said Ken Cyree, dean of the School of Business Administration. This ranking reflects the hard work of our faculty and staff, as well as the board who has helped us in many ways. We are grateful for the recognition and will continue the good work to provide an excellent education and preparation to our students entering the workforce, and enhance the value of the MBA degrees for our alumni.”
In addition to the U.S. News & World Report ranking, Authority Media Group ranked the Ole Miss online MBA program No. 18 nationally and No. 15 among Public Schools. College Choice also ranked the program No. 3 nationally.
“Support from the MBA Alumni Board makes our program unique,” said Del Hawley, associate professor of finance and senior associate dean of the business school. “The board is made up of alumni who work at successful businesses, such as FedEx, Auto Zone and KPMG.
The UM School of Education moved up 10 spots in the U.S. World News and Report rankings this spring and now lands in the Top 25 in the country for offering online graduate programs to working professionals in the education fields.
“We are proud to be recognized for the hard work of our faculty, staff and students,” said David Rock, UM’s education dean. “We are committed to creating quality graduate education that is accessible for working teachers, higher education professionals and counselors who seek to be change agents and leaders in their classrooms and communities.”
Prospective students can choose from the Master’s of Higher Education, a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education, a Master of Education in Elementary Education, or a Specialist in Education in Counselor Education/Play Therapy all offered through the Ole Miss Online program.
