All Internship Experience participants must apply to the IE program and complete EDHE 320 (Internship Exploration), EDHE 321 (Internship Preparation), and EDHE 322 (Internship Experience). Internship Experience courses do not have any additional costs to the participant unless the student exceeds 19 credits in the Spring semester.
Atlanta, New York, and Washington, DC Cohort participants have housing and orientation costs associated with the program.
Participants choosing to enroll in additional coursework through Ole Miss Online or iStudy are responsible for additional tuition costs.
The Internship Experience offers a limited number of need- and merit-based scholarships. Scholarship recipients must have a current, completed FAFSA on file with UM’s Office of Financial to be awarded.

*Students participating in individual internships (U.S. locations, remote, and international) are responsible for securing their own housing, which may include out-of-pocket costs to the student.
The Internship Experience offers a limited number of $2,000 need-based scholarships to help with the costs of interning in New York, Atlanta, or Washington, DC. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
Individual Internship participants who complete the series of Internship Experience coursework can apply for an Internship Experience travel grant. The grant can be used to offset airfare, ground transportation, or other internship-related travel expenses for those interning away from Oxford or their hometown.
Technology grants can be used for Individual Internship participants who are participating in a remote internship and have technology needs, such as computer hardware, software, or high-speed internet access, that will help them be successful at their internship.
The maximum grant available for travel or technology is $500. The number of grants available each year will vary depending upon funding availability.
