Safe Sitter® Grandparents: Getting Started

Grandparents: Getting Started is a comprehensive program designed for grandparents. Taught by certified Safe Sitter® Instructors, participants will learn how to provide the best and safest care for their grandchildren. Participants will learn the latest information on how to safely care for infants and children and how to manage the behavior of children of all ages. In addition, participants will learn life-saving skills such as choking rescue, first aid, and injury management.
This program is also open to other adult caregivers, such as new or soon-to-be aunts and uncles.
CPR Certification is not included.

About the Instructor:
Caitlin Hopper is the coordinator for the University of Mississippi’s Communiversity program and a trained Safe Sitter instructor. She also teaches the Safe Sitter Essentials course for children ages 11 to 14 who want to start babysitting. She has two children of her own.
