Grants and Fellows

The Office of Academic Outreach expands teaching and learning boundaries by offering a variety of services and resources to support instructors teaching online courses at the University of Mississippi. Our grant series is one of the many ways we support our instructors. Grants available to online instructors include:

Travel Grants

• Online Instructor Travel Grants: Conference Travel
  To encourage the exploration of distance, online, blended or hybrid education and instructional strategies, multiple grants support UM online instructor travel to professional conferences, meetings or workshops.
• Online Instructor Travel Grants: Virtual Conference
  To encourage the exploration of distance, online, blended, or hybrid education and instructional strategies, multiple grants support UM online instructor virtual attendance of professional conferences, meetings, or workshops.
• Online Instructor Travel Grants: On-Campus Travel
  Online Instructor Travel Grants are also available to full-time online instructors to support required attendance for one departmental training, meeting, orientation, etc. on the Oxford campus annually.

Faculty Fellows

• WOW! Online Faculty Fellow
  The WOW! Fellow is designed to highlight the innovative achievements and sound instructional practices of online instructors at the University of Mississippi, and affords the opportunity to learn from peer to peer instruction and conversation.
