The UM-Independent Study High School offers a variety of course delivery, presentation, and evaluation methods. This variety provides students with options that meet their needs and learning styles. The print-based courses consist of printed syllabi and/or handbooks that include lecture notes, reading assignments, activities, self-help exercises, and assessments. Textbooks and such supplementary materials as kits, audiocassettes, and videocassettes, globes, etc., accompany these courses. Courses include only paper-and- pencil essays, work sheets, and proctored examinations evaluated by the teachers.
