Instructor Information: My name is Rebecca Fava. I have taught for 8 years, and currently teach several Social Studies and English courses for UMHS. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin, my law degree from Ole Miss, and my MA in History from the University of Memphis. Course Description: Welcome to United States history (1877 to the present). This course focuses on the role of the United States as it made the transition from a young nation to a leading nation in the global arena. All the lessons can be found under the Lessons tab at the top of this page. This course uses thematic units based on interwoven social, political, economic, and geographic changes in the United States from 1877 to the present. The student will trace the history of the United States from Reconstruction's end to the modern period. |
