Instructor Information:

Hi all! My name is Rebecca Fava. I have taught for over 10 years, and currently teach several Social Studies courses for UMHS.

I love continuing my education, and hope to go back someday! :) I received my BS in Business from the University of Tennessee at Martin, my JD from Ole Miss, and my MA in History from the University of Memphis.

Course Description:

This course is designed to help you get a better idea of what you want to do after you graduate from high school. While you may already have an idea of what you plan to do, this course will allow you to explore all of your options to help you make the most informed decision possible.

Required Textbook:

There is no textbook required for this course.

Course Objectives include (but are not limited to):

  1. identifying your skillset and personality and how they correlate to your career
  2. creating goals for your life after high school
  3. choosing workforce v. college
  4. being prepared to enter the workforce
  5. understanding the purpose of college

This course is Pass/Fail.

  • 100-70: PASS
  • 69-0: FAIL

Grading will include, but won't be limited to, the following:

  • Written Assignments
  • Quizzes
