Instructor Information: Thomas Grosskopf graduated from Ole Miss in 2010 with a BFA in Painting. He has been working as a professional artist for 15 years and teaches art at Lafayette High School as well as Ole Miss.

Course Description: This course presents the vocabulary, terminology, and paradigm of the art world. Information covered includes art principles and concepts used in all forms of visual communication. The class will cover art mediums in addition to the visual elements and principles of design. |

Required Textbook: Foundations of Design (Cengage Advantage Books) by Jeff Davis It is the student's responsibility to order his or her textbook. Online textbook retailers such as Amazon.com, ABEbooks.com, or Half.com usually provide used textbooks at economical prices.
