Half-tuition scholarships are available to community college transfer students who are majoring in: Criminal Justice, Liberal Arts, Management Information Systems, Paralegal Studies and Social Work. Students, from any major, who have demonstrated exemplary leadership skills throughout their academic career, may be eligible to receive leadership scholarships as well.
Current teachers interested in seeking a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and those who may be interested in a Master's degree in Higher Education are also encouraged to apply for half-tuition scholarships to cover graduate-level tuition.
"These scholarships help make college degrees a reality for students who would not otherwise attend an institution of higher learning," said Gayle Wicker, Coordinator of Student Services at UM-Tupelo. "This is an amazing financial opportunity for interested students. They can come to UM-Tupelo to earn an outstanding education, right here at home."
Applications are available online at www.olemiss.edu/tupelo. The deadline for submission is June 1, with award letters mailed by July 1. For more information please contact Gayle Wicker at 662-844-5622 or glwicker@olemiss.edu.
