Kids College Camps
Extreme Engineering Camp

Do you have a creative and inventive future engineer living at your house? If so, he or she will have great fun–and sharpen problemsolving skills–designing and building extreme gadgets at Extreme Engineering Camp. From bungee ropes to catapults, participants will have loads of fun testing their own creations each day. Extreme Engineering Camp is specifically designed for students who have completed 2nd through 6th grades.

Science Explorers Camp

Rising 3rd and 4th graders can experience science firsthand in explorations of earth/space science, life science, and physical science. Discover what makes ice cream freeze, why the moon appears to change shape, how chickens hatch out of their shells, and the reason your heart beats. Together we will have a four–day adventure filled with a variety of hands–on science activities that are f–u–n!

CSI Camp

Want to learn how to catch the bad guys like a real Crime Science Investigator? We are seeking rising 5th and 6th graders who are aspiring investigators interested in exploring the fascinating world of forensic science. We will investigate a mock crime scene and perform many crime-solving techniques, including suspect finger–printing, ink chromatography, DNA extraction, and developing a profile for suspect identification.

Math Adventure Camp
Young explorers who have completed grades 2nd through 5th will discover and learn ways to use cool math in the real world–such as sports and music. READY, SET, MATH!

Drama Workshop
The play’s the thing this summer as students write, produce, and perform their very own production using the poetry and illustrations of Shel Silverstein for inspiration. From props and character development to scripts and theatre games, this hands–on camp will introduce students to the wonderful world of theatre and give seasoned thespians an opportunity to further develop their craft. Students who have completed grades 2nd thru 5th are encouraged to participate. To close this camp, a special performance will be held in the AEC auditorium on the UM-Tupelo campus at 6:00 p.m. *In preparation for Friday evening’s performance, students will be required to stay late. Thespians will be given a snack prior to show time!

Jumpstart to Algebra
Middle to high school students can get a head start learning Algebra or brush up on skills necessary for mathematics beyond Algebra I. Basic algebraic concepts, graphing calculator tips, and problem–solving skills will be taught. Strategies for success in math will reduce anxiety and build mathematical confidence before school resumes this fall. One–day workshop. Lunch provided.
