Business Students Bring Home Awards

Eight University of Mississippi-Tupelo students recently placed among the winners at the Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) State Conference and Competitions held in Tupelo earlier this month. PBL is an educational association of students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. As a result of their first or second place finishes, five of the students have been invited to attend the PBL National Leadership Conference, June 24-27 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Competitors included: Jeremy Bennett of Hickory Flat- first place Managerial Analysis and second place Sports Management; Morgan Bishop of New Albany- third place Management Concepts; Shaun Bryan of Ripley- first place Accounting Analysis and first place Financial Analysis; Chris Harris of Baldwyn-third place Managerial Analysis; Michael Holloway of Amory- second place Marketing Analysis; Alisha Latham of Booneville- first place Accounting Principles; Penny Melvin of Iuka- first place Marketing and first place Marketing Analysis; and Elizabeth Owen of New Albany- third place Human Resource Management and third place Sports Management.
