TUPELO, MS. University of Mississippi-Tupelo business and accountancy students recently placed among the winners at the Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) State Conference and academic competitions held in Tupelo Feb.21- 23. PBL is an educational association of students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. As a result of their first or second place finishes, students have been invited to attend the PBL National Leadership Conference and academic competitions June 23-26 in Chicago.
The UM-Tupelo chapter of PBL was also recognized by the organization's national charity, The March of Dimes, for its fundraising efforts in 2006. The chapter is a Silver Member of the Phi Beta Lambda Foundation, and UM-Tupelo Senior Business major, Michael Holloway serves on the March of Dimes board.
