THE SCRIPT

The intensive Advanced Filmmaking Workshop is designed to take high school and college students, teachers and other filmmaking enthusiasts to an advanced level of understanding and training in filmmaking.

THE AUDIENCE

Registration is open to anyone (high school to adult) who is already equipped with a basic understanding of filmmaking and is ideal for those who have previously completed the Ole Miss "introductory level" Filmmaking Workshop.

THE FOCUS

  • Provide advanced level editing training

  • Provide advanced level camera training

  • Provide advanced level directing training

THE SHOOT

The workshop will be held at the Historical Oxford Depot adjacent to the University in
Oxford and behind the Gertrude C. Ford Performing Arts Center on University Avenue.
The Depot is a short walk from the Inn at Ole Miss.  Participants will receive a detailed
schedule and map of the area at registration.

THE WINDOW

The dates of the 2008 workshop are July 14-17.  Pre-registration is required.  The deadline to to register is July 10. There will be an additional charge of $25.00 for registrations after this date. Class size will be limited to 20 so register early to ensure you get a seat.

THE BUDGET

Residential—Dormitory: $425, includes dormitory housing, costs, workshop, manual, meals
Residential—Hotel: $625, includes room at the Inn at Ole Miss, workshop, manual, meals
Commuter: $325, includes only the workshop and manual

CANCELLATION-REFUND POLICY: Registrants who cancel their registration prior to Thursday, July 10, 2008 will receive a refund of fees paid minus a $50.00 administrative charge. No refunds will be given for cancellations after July10, 2008 except for validated exceptional circumstances.
