Montevideo is the capital of Uruguay, a port town on the Rio Plata. The city is also the capital of MERCOSUR and is mainly populated by European immigrants. It offers a rich climate, clean air, and is surrounded by an uninterrupted stretch of white sandy beach. Universidad Catolica de Uruguay offers semester coursework for students interested in gaining Spanish language fluency as well as those who wish to enroll in courses with native Spanish speakers. A special program for international students offers courses in Uruguayan and Latin American history, Uruguyan literature, and Spanish language. |

18 years old, minimum GPA of 2.75, completed 4 semesters of University-level Spanish with a B or better, and good academic and disciplinary standing at UM

Student fees are based on the cost of tuition at the University of Mississippi plus Study Abroad Fees. For the Spring 2007 semester, Mississippi residents were charged $3551 and non-residents were charged $6533.
