The University of Essex is a mid-size university based at Wivenhoe Park in Colchester. Its 19 departments offer courses spanning the humanities, social sciences, and engineering.

Student fees are based on the cost of tuition at the University of Mississippi plus Study Abroad Fees. For the Spring 2007 semester, Mississippi residents were charged $3551 and non-residents were charged $6533.
