Explore the amazing cultures of Tanzania and how the changing environment affects the way people groups interact and maintain their standards of living with a main point of focus being the development of youth. You'll also get the opportunity to work with Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots program and visit national parks in the north of the country. Drawing from environmental, developmental, educational, and cultural psychology, this study abroad experience represents a nexus of interdisciplinary interest in positive youth development. Through experiential service learning, research participation, and cultural exchange, students will learn about positive youth development concepts, the ecological and cultural context of youth development, and the relationship between youth and their environments. *Note: We hope to book a group flight to Tanzania and therefore need interested students to apply early to make these arrangements. |
