The South African Classroom

Experience the rich educational and cultural diversity, wondrous environment, and excitement of making new friends in South Africa! Earn six hours of education credit in classes such as effective classroom management, early childhood education, and on-site classroom experience through the lens of a fascinating new global perspective. Faculty from The University of Mississippi, School of Education will lead discussion and guide your discovery in education and society during this adventure in learning in the Southern Hemisphere! The course, taught by UM faculty member Dr. Debby Chessin, is intended for education majors. Students will earn 6 hours of credit for EDEC 301, EDEL 519, or EDUC 555.
