Spanish Language (IUSI)

Queretaro, a modern, safe, and dynamic city of 1 million people is the backdrop for a summer of experiencing Hispanic culture through personal relationships. Live with a host family 130 miles northwest of Mexico City while learning Spanish language and Mexican history. The program, offered through Interamerican University Studies Institute, is open to students who have completed at least 2 semesters of Spanish, hold a B average in their Spanish classes, and have a minimum GPA of 2.75. Students will earn 9 hours of credit for Spanish language, Mexican Civilizaiton, and Cross-Cultural Seminar.

Qualifications
18 years old, minimum GPA of 2.75, at least 2 semesters of Spanish, hold a B average in Spanish classes, and good academic and disciplinary standing at UM
