Watercolor in London

England has a strong tradition of watercolor and painting with many artists’ works on exhibition in famous museums and galleries throughout a city whose creativity has changed the world. For this studio course, students will be working outdoors in the natural light of London to explore this tradition for themselves. The course, taught by UM faculty member Paula Temple, will teach students the techniques of “plein-air watercolor painting. Students who have completed ART 211 can earn 3 hours of credit for ART 326, ART 426, or ART 526.
