Comparative Legal Studies

Learn how the American legal system evolved from the British system. Walk the same streets as influential politicians and make comparisons of the two systems in a historical context. The course, taught by a UM faculty member, will take students to Parliament, the Royal Course of Justice, Old Bailey, and many more sites related to the British legal system. Students will earn 3 hours of credit for LA 421.
