Learn Spanish in one of the most peaceful, beautiful countries in the world. Costa Rica is a unique country in Central America with 33 percent of its territory devoted to national parks and reserves. Through stays with host families, students will be immersed in both the language and culture of this nation. The course, taught by faculty at COSI, is open to students of all Spanish language levels. Students will earn 6 hours of credit for SPAN 198, SPAN 298, SPAN 398, or SPAN 598. |

Classes are taught by COSI staff. A UM faculty or staff member will be in Costa Rica to serve as resident director.
Qualifications
18 years old, junior standing or above, minimum GPA of 2.5, and good academic and disciplinary standing at UM
