Study at Osaka Gakuin University

Osaka Gakuin University is a private institution located in the heart of Osaka, Japan. Osaka is the second largest city in Japan, connected by the bullet train to almost anywhere in Japan. Osaka is the commercial center of Japan, with Mitsubishi, Sanyo, and Suntory calling it home.

Students can go for the fall semester or for the full academic year. The 10 month academic year is broken into the fall semester, a 7 week interim program, and the spring semester. Students take 16 credits per week, with 10 credits of Japanese language and 6 credits of subject-based courses taught in English.

Housing
Housing is arranged by OGU's International Center, and international students generally live with a Japanese family. Dormitories are available, however, we suggest the homestay option to maximize language learning. The homestay option includes breakfast and dinner.

18 years old, minimum 2.75 GPA, and good academic and disciplinary standing at UM. Junior or senior standing recommended.

Student fees are based on the cost of tuition at the University of Mississippi plus Study Abroad Fees. For the Fall 2008 semester, Mississippi residents were charged $3803 and non-residents were charged $7484.
