Student Enrollment Data

The University of Mississippi has been fortunate in the past few years to see Study Abroad enrollment increase. This benefits not only students who Study Abroad but the entire campus as they bring their knowledge and independence back to the Ole Miss campus.

In the 2006-2007 academic year 651 students studied abroad. While many of those students were on short-term program, an increasing number of students are choosing a semester or full year of study in another country.

By far, our summer sessions attract the most students each year. We've seen a good jump in student enrollment each year since 2000 and plan to see a sharp rise as we offer more tailored programs and scholarships over the next few years.

Our newest session falls between the Fall and Spring semesters on campus. Though it's only a short term -- 2 to 3 weeks -- we're seeing students jump at the opportunity to get in an extra 3 hours of credit during the Wintersession.
