Literature in Venice

Imagine strolling down one of the city's hundreds of canals or sipping a cappuccino at the Piazza di San Marco as the pigeons fly by. You'll have the same opportunity many literary greats have had to experience the beauty of Venice through this honors course. The program is a broadly based study of the city and the stories it has inspired from the sixteenth century to the present.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two prior semesters of college-level English preferred
  • 18 years old
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Good academic and disciplinary standing at UM

COURSE

The course, taught by UM faculty members Drs. Ron and Natalie Schroeder, is tailored to honors students and English majors. Students will earn 3 hours of credit for ENGL 395H, an ABCDF-graded course.

PASSPORTS AND VISAS

A passport is required for U.S. citizens traveling to Italy. A visa is not required for students attending this program.
