Have you ever walked through history? A coastal city on the Mediterranean of more than 800,000 inhabitants, Valencia is surrounded by immense beaches and is filled with monuments testifying to its Roman, Visigoth, and Arab ancestry. Boasting a mild climate (yearly average temperature of 60 F), Valencia is a perfect choice for both visitors and students of Spanish alike. The University of Mississippi has partnered with the University of Virginia Hispanic Studies Program to offer Ole Miss students the opportunity to study Spanish language, literature, and culture in Valencia.
Students will research and select 4 to 6 courses from UVA's selection of courses ranging from Spanish language and linguistics to Spanish Literature of the Golden Age. UM Course equivalencies are also available online.
A passport is required for U.S. citizens traveling to Spain. A visa is also required for semester and all-year study.
INFORMATION REGARDING FINANCIAL AID, HEALTH INSURANCE, ORIENTATION, AND THE WITHDRAWAL & REFUND POLICY IS AVAILABLE ONLINE AND AT THE STUDY ABROAD OFFICE.
