Situated in the heart of the beautiful Thames Valley with the Chiltern Hills to the north and Hampshire Downs to the south, Reading is a thriving, cosmopolitan city that is a blend of the old and new. Founded in the Saxon times, Reading not only has lovely Victorian homes, but also modern, commercial centers and a dynamic entertainment center, The Hexagon. Located only 22 minutes by train from London, the University of Reading is based on 3 campuses all within 10 minutes of Reading town center. The University of Reading offers students courses varying from the applied sciences to languages, and from the social sciences to fine arts. The 300 acres of landscaped parkland campus provide an ideal setting to study and live.

  • 18 years old
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Good academic and disciplinary standing at UM

COURSES

Students will select courses from a variety of departments that include Art and Communication Design, Health and Social Care, History, Psychology, European Studies and International Relations, enrolling in a minimum of 12 semester hours. Additional course information is available online.

PASSPORTS AND VISAS

A passport is required for U.S. citizens traveling to United Kingdom. A visa is also required for semester and all-year study.
