Learn about theater from the Elizabethan era to present day while touring London. Throughout the course students will visit historical sites and museums corresponding to how society effects the development of theater. Visits include the Tower of London, the London Museum, Westminster Abbey, and The National Portrait Gallery, as well as The Theatre Museum and The Globe Theatre.
The course, taught by UM faculty member Dr. Carey Hanson, is open to all students but should be of particular interest to theater students as attendance to productions is also included. Students will earn 3 hours of credit for THEA 209, an ABCDF-graded course.
A passport is required for U.S. citizens traveling to the United Kingdom. A visa is also required for semester and all-year study.
