A mid-size university of 9,100 students based at Wivenhoe Park in Colchester, the University of Essex has seventeen departments spanning the Humanities, Social Sciences and Science and Engineering. On-campus accommodation in single study bedrooms, student organizations and student radio stations, 42 sports clubs including sailing, windsurfing, and canoeing, as well as a thriving performing arts tradition, all make Essex an ideal site to study and live.
Students will select courses from a variety of departments that include: Art History and Theory, Health and Human Sciences, Literature, Film and Theatre Studies, Accounting, Finance and Management, and Human Rights, enrolling in a minimum of 12 semester hours. A passport is required for U.S. citizens traveling to United Kingdom. A visa is also required for semester and all year-study.
