Off-Campus Graduate Minority Fellowship

Students who are members of under-represented ethnic groups and who have been accepted for admission to a graduate program in conditional or full standing status are eligible for this fellowship which covers a portion of their tuition. The policies regarding the length of time a student may receive this award is developed by the Division of University Outreach and Continuing Education.

Requirements:
  1. Graduate Student
  2. Enrolled as a degree seeking student in good condition
  3. Minority Student
  4. The University of Mississippi-DeSoto Center Student

Tuition Status:

In-State Student: 75% off tuition
2009-10 Tuition per three hour credit course: $850.50
Tuition with Minority Scholarship: $212.63
Out of State Student:
Robert Oesterling Scholarship:
Out-of-state tuition scholarship is available to graduate students with a previous GPA of 3.2 from their undergraduate studies.

Options for Graduate Students:

1. With a 3.2 GPA from previous undergraduate studies

  • Robert Oesterling Scholarship will provide a scholarship for the out-of-state tuition amount.
  • Minority Scholarship will give a student 75% off the in-state tuition after the scholarship
2009-10 out-of-state tuition per three hour credit course: $ 2,077.50
Tuition with Oesterling Scholarship: $850.50
Tuition with Oesterling and Minority: $212.63

2. Student below a 3.2 GPA from previous undergraduate studies

  • Minority Scholarship will waive 44% of total of out of state costs
Tuition per three hour credit course: $2,077.50
Tuition with Out of State Minority Scholarship: $1,163.40
