UM Chancellor to Address DeSoto Educators
Chancellor Robert Khayat will speak at the DeSoto County Economic Development Council's "Salute to Education" luncheon September 30 at 11:45 a.m. at the DeSoto Civic Center. Composed of nearly 500 area entrepreneurs and educators, the DeSoto County Economic Development Council will present honors, awards and grants in the education field. The University of Mississippi-DeSoto is tied closely with DeSoto County's K-12 schools, Southern Baptist Education Center, and Sacred Heart School, making the Chancellor's speech an important link between elementary, secondary and higher education.
