Health and Safety

Student Health Center

As Ole Miss students, students are able to visit or make an appointment at the V.B. Harrison Student Health Center if they become sick or if a minor accident occurs. The staff at the Health Center can perform check-ups, fill prescriptions, and issue referrals if needed.

The Student Health Center is the place where students are required to send medical and immunization forms to become eligible to register for Orientation and classes.

For more information on the V.B. Harrison Student Health Center, please visit their website at http://healthcenter.olemiss.edu/.

Counseling Center

The University Counseling Center (UCC) offers numerous services for Ole Miss students to promote mental health, general counseling, stress management, and more. The UCC staff is even available to even be an ear and listen to students and counsel them in a safe and inviting environment.

For more information on the University Counseling Center and their services, please visit their website at http://counseling.olemiss.edu/

University Police Department (UPD)

The University Police Department provides protection and ensures safety at the University of Mississippi. UPD officers are dedicated to student safety and crime prevention. UPD will meet with JumpStart from time to time over the summer to promote safety in Ole Miss and the Oxford community.
