When can I enroll?

Semester-Based courses:
When the semester registration window is open iStudy courses are available as semester-based courses. These are only available during the registration window of each major semester (fall, spring, and full-summer).

The cost will be included in full-time tuition if the course(s) brings a student at or below 15 hours. In this case, the course(s) must be a semester-based course and not full-year. All semester dates and regulations associated with University policies, the academic calendar, and catalog will be applied and upheld.

An iStudy course bringing a student’s total semester credit hours over 15 is classified as full-year, and the cost is in addition to full-time tuition.

Full-Year courses:
Students may enroll in a full-year course anytime of the year, and aren’t tied to the semester calendar. Once enrolled, students may begin immediately. Full-year iStudy courses can be completed in any amount of time between two months to one year. Personal deadlines, such as graduation, supersede course expiration.

After the last day to register or add classes, the semester-based option is no longer available. After this point only full-year courses are offered and payment for the course(s) is apart from full-time tuition. The cost of 3 credit hours is currently $955.50. Students may add full-year courses in addition to full-time tuition if they want extra time to work on the course.

Do I need approvals?

If you indicate that you use financial aid the iStudy staff will send your application to the Office of Financial Aid for approval. For financial aid questions contact the Office of Financial Aid: http://finaid.olemiss.edu/
