Textbooks and Recordings

Books and materials are to be paid for by the student. Information concerning books and materials required for courses are included in the study guide and in the course enrollment packet.

Required textbooks and materials for this course can be purchased through our online bookstore, EDMAP. Please visit the web site http://www.shop-edmap.biz/mis/ for complete information about the materials required for courses and the option to purchase your course materials. Or call (800) 274-9104 M-F from 8:00am until 8:00pm or Saturday from 9:00am until 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time.

A student MUST use the edition(s) specified in the study guide.

Students also can order their books from another book company. There are many bookstores specializing in textbook sales. Students should be sure to order the correct ISBN number. Please contact our office for more information.

A delay in receiving a textbook does not warrant an automatic extension of a course. Textbooks should be purchased within 30 days of enrollment. If a student delays purchasing textbooks beyond 30 days and the books are no longer available, a refund for a course will not be issued.

Courses in which recordings are used are marked with an asterisk (*) in the course description. These recording are on cassettes, which are available for purchase only from the Department of Independent Study at The University of Mississippi. The cost of these tapes is $35.
