Exchange of Courses
A student may transfer an enrollment from one course to
another provided that no more than three lessons have been
submitted and the transfer fee is requested within two
months following the date of enrollment. The fee for a
transfer is $25 if no lessons have been submitted or $60
if one to three lessons have been submitted, plus any
excess in cost for the course to which the enrollment is
transferred. NOTE: This fee will increase to $75 as of October, 1, 2008. Transfers are not permitted after two months
following the date of enrollment.
To transfer to another course, a student must complete an
Independent Study Course Application form, and submit it
with the fees that are due. University of Mississippi
students must obtain written approval from their deans'
office on the Course Application form. The course study
guide for the initial enrollment should be returned to the
Office of Independent Study.
An enrollment may be transferred only once, and fees
cannot be transferred from one person to another. The date
of the initial enrollment remains effective on a transfer
to another course. As the initial enrollment date remains
in effect for a transfer from one course to another, a
student is not eligible for a refund of tuition fees.
